About Mistaken Identity Vineyards

Mistaken Identity Vineyards is an independently operated information site about winemaking and wine packaging. It explains how small wineries move from vineyard and cellar to bottling, closures, labelling and case packing.

The site is named after its domain. Between 2008 and 2014 that domain hosted the website of a small organic vineyard and estate winery on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, with pages on grape varieties, wines, a wine shop, outlets and events. This site is not operated by, endorsed by or affiliated with any company, organisation or person that has previously used this domain name or whose name appears in it. In particular, it is not affiliated with the Mistaken Identity Vineyards winery on Salt Spring Island that previously used this domain or its owners or staff. The old site's content is not reproduced here.

Articles are general information about how wine is made and packaged. Nothing here is an invitation to drink, a health claim, or an offer to sell wine; alcohol laws vary by country and region. If you spot a mistake, please tell us through the Contact page and we will correct it.
